August 31st: 8th grade leadership training at Durham Academy.
See Saw’s first project launched in August 2017, when we were invited to design an interactive drama-based workshop for middle schoolers at Durham Academy. With a team of nine teaching artists, we guided students through improvisation and theatre activities that fostered listening, communication, reflection, and leadership. As part of the process, students drew on their recent service-learning experiences to create powerful still images that captured moments of insight and growth.
