What is applied theatre?

Applied theatre is a form of theatre that goes beyond traditional entertainment and artistic expression to address specific social, cultural, educational, or therapeutic goals. It involves the use of theatrical techniques and principles in various non-traditional settings to engage participants in a creative and often transformative process.

Elders

Museums

We partner with museums to create participatory workshops, like our Living Poem workshop that are based off of objects in the collection. Read more here.

Schools

We perform interactive pieces of educational theatre in schools, libraries, and site specific locations. We can also work with your school to design a program that uses theatre to explore issues that matter to your students and teachers.

We’ll work with you to create an interactive session for your employees or conference participants that is based in team building, problem solving, creating social change etc.
